If you have an old Android device, running 2.2 or up, you can use Cheapcast to replicate the experience of a Chromecast.
Cheapcast basically gives phones and tablets the ability to stream from Chromcast-friendly apps to another device on the same WiFi network. So, if you have an old device you can hook it up to your TV and start streaming to it.

Download Cheapcast from Google Play: http://goo.gl/bNUd2R

*It may still be a little buggy but it'll get better with future updates probably.

My love for Android started when I got my HTC Hero (currently running CM7.1) and never looked back. Now I own an HTC One X (running AOKP). I started this website to help my friends with their new phones but for my surprise the website quickly started to grow and now I'm happy to help much more Android enthusiasts all over the world. I have an amazing wife + two cats and on my free time I write songs and play guitar as a hobby.
